Singing Ministry

This ministry seeks to encourage and enhance worship through singing. Ministries include: 1) Practicing and learning new songs on the first Wednesday evening of the month and the last 15 minutes of Steve Martin’s class on the other Wednesday evenings 2) The songs for the coming Sunday are e-mailed out to those who are interested in receiving them 3) Members involved in this ministry seek to encourage everyone by practicing the worship songs before Sunday services in order that they can project four part harmony from within the congregation during worship. They meet 30 minutes before each Sunday morning service to run through the songs with the song leader. 4) Lastly, the singing ministry visits and sings with shut-ins and those in nursing homes and hospitals. Ultimately we desire for our song service and our singing to glorify God and encourage each other.

Union Hill Family Campout

The Union Hill Family Campout is an annual camping event held since the beginning of our congregation, usually the second weekend in October. We use a resort campground on Table Rock Lake. This is an excellent way to get to know your brothers and sisters in a different atmosphere than the church building. We share some meals throughout the weekend, carve pumpkins together, participate in singing, a devotional around the campfire on Saturday night, and worship together on Sunday morning. There is plenty of time to relax and fellowship too. Saturday is a fun-filled day of fellowship, crafts, washer tournament, games, and pumpkin carving.

Youth Ministry

Union Hill Youth Ministry

We encourage our youth to grow in personal faith and Bible knowledge while serving in the Lord’s body and in the community. By equipping them in this way, they are better able to reach out to others who don’t know Christ. We also want them to enjoy fun Christian fellowship in a positive peer group atmosphere. Chaperons are often needed at these activities as well as drivers to transport youth to and from the activities. Hosts are also needed for weekly fellowships (Teen Hang Time – THT) after Sunday evening services.
